Adding collaborators to submissions

Link other BeatPlugg producers to your submitted beats

Written by BeatPlugg Team·Updated May 28, 2026

What are collaborators?

When you submit beats to an opportunity, you can optionally link other BeatPlugg producers as collaborators on each beat. A collaborator is someone who contributed to the production of that specific beat, such as a co-producer, loop maker, songwriter, or beat maker.

How to add collaborators

  1. On the Submit Beats page, upload your beat files as normal.
  2. Under each uploaded beat, look for the Collaborators section.
  3. Search for a BeatPlugg producer by their name or username.
  4. Click Add to link them to that beat.
  5. You can add multiple collaborators to the same beat if needed.
  6. Review your collaborators before confirming the submission.

What collaborators receive

When you link a collaborator to a beat, they receive:

  • A notification that they were added as a collaborator on a submitted beat.
  • Updates when the beat is reviewed, selected for a Beat Pack, or not selected.
  • A safe view of the beat's activity inside their own My Submissions page, shown with a Collaborator chip so it is clear they did not submit or spend credits.

Collaborator not on BeatPlugg?

If you search for a producer and they are not on BeatPlugg, you'll see an option to copy your referral link. Share it with them so they can sign up. When they join and make their first valid submission, you both earn referral credits.

Important notes

  • Adding collaborators is optional. You can submit beats without linking anyone.
  • Collaborators are linked per beat, not per submission. Different beats in the same submission can have different collaborators.
  • Collaborators are locked at submission time. They cannot be changed after the submission is finalised.
  • Adding collaborators does not change the credit cost of your submission.
  • The submitter remains the owner of the submission. Collaborators receive visibility into the relevant beat only.
INFO

If you used a loop from another producer in the Collaboration Hub, consider adding them as a collaborator when you submit the beat. This helps ensure they receive proper credit and visibility into the beat's progress.
